Jung Seok Hong is a partner at Yoon & Yang LLC. His main practice areas are antitrust & competition, criminal trials, legislative consulting and administrative disputes.
Mr. Hong graduated from the Korea University Business School, and obtained his MBA from the Korea University Graduate School. He previously researched consulting and marketing as a Senior Researcher at the LG Economic Research Institute, and later joined the Independent Special Prosecution Team on the Park Geun-Hye and Choi Soon-Sil Gate as the Deputy Spokesperson.

In particular, from October 2017 to August 2020, he worked as the Director of the Installment Transaction Team of the Consumer Policy Department at the Korea Fair Trade Commission and handled various matters related to establishing and managing consumer policy. Having participated in the promotion of consumer rights policy in the digital transaction area that the Consumer Policy Department is promoting, he has a wide breadth of expertise and experience related to the policy and legislation in respect of sharing economy and online platforms.

In addition, drawing on his expertise and experience on corporate consulting and corporate governance, as well as investment matters, he advises and assists with the establishment of various corporate venture capitals (CVC), including the establishment of Korea’s first CVC of a holding company.
